2016 Real Estate Sales Statistics

Highlights

Below is data from the above list.  There are many other Chicago and suburban areas that aren't listed in this post.

  • Biggest annual amount of homes sold = Mount Greenwood with a 24.7% increase in homes sold in 2016
  • Largest price increase = the Chicago Lawn area with a 19.2% average sales price increase
  • Biggest drop in amount of homes sold = Romeoville sold 11.8% less homes in 2016 vs. 2015
  • Largest price decrease = the average sale priced decreased 11% in Monee
  • Highest priced suburb = in this list La Grange once again took the honors with an average sale price of $506,925, even though it was a 5.8% decrease from 2015!
  • Lowest priced suburb = Calumet Park with an average sale price of $62,332

Once again, this list comprises areas that clients have bought homes in over the years.  Our base area of service is the southwest suburbs using Orland Park as our hub and spreading out from there. You can see we do sell in other areas.
